Created for Canlis Restaurant, these trays were made to serve one specific drink on the specialty cocktails list, named the Café Diablo. Bridging the curved walnut perimeter and perfectly flush surface are flat bars made of solid bronze, with a charcoal patina. The dye has only a wax finish, intentionally left to wear and reveal the natural color of the bronze with continuous wear. The aging process should be fun to watch.
